This 40's classic is one of the first Werewolf films, there were others before it, but there is no surviving film.
Until this film, werewolves had only been depicted as humans that transformed into wolves, this is the first film where the werewolf is depicted as half man-half wolf.
We love the eerie atmosphere of the film, so dark and foggy in the Welsh forest, the wolf man looks great, and the score is decent.
We recommend putting this film on the background while you play board games with friends.
This film of course features the horror monster typecast actors, Bela Lugosi and Lon Chaney, also Maria Ouspenskaya, Evelyn Ankers, and others.
