This is the first film with sexy young vampires, it’s very fun, some great 80’s special effects and makeup, with dreamy cinematography.
A main theme is California counter culture and teen angst; there is the classic ‘boys save town trope’, the director was inspired by The Goonies.
Also, some great 80’s nostalgia, younger viewers might be scratching their heads at couple scenes.
By far one of the greatest death scenes you will ever see.
