This material has already been made into a highly rated YouTube series 'The Backrooms' (2022) and the director has reportedly expressed interest in using the same actors.
A24 and Atomic Monster are the studios behind this production.
An extended version of the film with deleted scenes has been released.
Directed by Kane Parsons, the same director as the YouTube series, this is this rookie's debut feature length film.

'Backrooms' cast features: Chiwetel Ejiofor, Renate Reinsve, Mark Duplass, Lukita Maxwell, Avan Jogia, Finn Bennett, and Philip Granger.
