"At a school in Japan, terrifying supernatural incidents take place."

This film is based on the paranormal survival video game Fatal Frame, wherein players battle spirits using a camera obscura, following stories from Japanese folklore.

The game has 3 sequels so we could very likely have a new franchise brewing here.

Directed by Christophe Gans, known for Silent Hill (2006), and Brotherhood Of The Wolf (2001).

Gans is currently busy directing Return To Silent Hill (2026) so we expect this film to be on hold until that production wraps up.

No cast announcement yet.

We expect Fatal Frame to release in 2027.
