'The Mummy's Hand' Plot Summary: A couple of young, out-of-work archaeologists in Egypt discover evidence of the burial place of the ancient Egyptian princess Ananka. After receiving funding from an eccentric magician and his beautiful daughter, they set out into the desert only to be terrorized by a sinister high priest and the living mummy Kharis who are the guardians of Ananka’s tomb.

This black & white film has a good pace, a nice score, and is perfect background noise for cleaning your cave or baking creepy treats.
Not surprisingly, this film from the 40's doesn't actually feature any Egyptians and does have several instances of actors using makeup to darken their skin.
This film was kind of a sequel of 'The Mummy' (1932) and spawned several more watchable sequels: 'The Mummy's Tomb' (1942), The Mummy's Ghost' (1944), and 'The Mummy's Curse' (1944).
There is also a spin-off, a comedy we recommend watching 'Abbott and Costello Meet the Mummy' (1955).
Stock footage from original, 'The Mummy' (1932) was used due to budget issues.
Directed by Christy Cabanne, also known for 'Scared To Death' (1947).
