This sequel to the hit film 'Smile' (2022) is good, but doesn't quite hit it out of the park like the original.
There is no recap, you really need to watch the original first or you will be lost.
The film has quite a slow pace which is not helped by its mismatched score.
The iconic and terrifying smiling is perhaps less scary in this sequel.
The story is well told, quite the mind f*ck, you will really struggle to understand what is real.
It's interesting the story focusses on a celebrity, that was a popular protagonist theme in horror in 2024; repeated in 'The Substance' and 'Trap'.
The film is definitely thrilling, with brutal and disturbing deaths, quite an interesting ending.
