This Spanish film was originally titled 'La Habitación Del Niño' and you will need to watch it with subtitles if you don't speak Spanish.
The film is a slow-burn reality fracturing haunted house story that leans heavily on dread rather than jump scares.
The atmosphere is its greatest weapon: a silent house, a grainy baby monitor audio, and the creeping sense that something is wrong just outside the frame.
Great performance from the lead, Javier Gutiérrez, they are grounded and convincing, and their unraveling paranoia feels painfully real.
Effects are restrained, relying on clever audio tricks, eerie doubles, and subtle visual distortions instead of CGI.
The film is chilling but not overly scary; the excellent score really complements the paranoia and fear, and we get a great unique climax to the story.
