Like most Millennials, we will never forget seeing this magical film as kids; Harry Potter had come out the year before, and although this made-for-tv film doesn’t come close to it, we were thirsty for magic.
The plot throughout all the films (3 sequels) is very reminiscent of Harry Potter, good vs evil, kids saving the day, etc.
The film has a score that gets repetitive and annoying, but it does have great child appropriate costumes, sets, and special effects.
The acting is also surprisingly good, these child actors were great, Debbie Reynolds is iconic.
Have a lovely lazy weekend binging the franchise, maybe carve pumpkins and bake their seeds!
